Privacy Policy

Last updated: 27 May 2026

Paycheckly is operated as a service for UK users. We aim to collect as little personal information as possible and to be transparent about what we do collect. This page explains how cookies, analytics, and any future features that touch your data work — written in plain English, not legalese.

1. The data we don't collect

All salary calculations run entirely inside your browser. We never see, store, or transmit any numbers you type into our calculators. We have no database of user salaries, ages, regions, or pension contributions. There is no account, no sign-up, and no email capture form anywhere on the site.

2. Analytics (the only cookie we use)

We use Google Analytics 4 to count visits and understand which pages are useful. Analytics will only run if you click Accept on the cookie banner. If you click Decline, or close the banner without choosing, no analytics cookies are placed and nothing about your visit is sent to Google.

Change your mind at any time:

3. Lawful basis

Our lawful basis under UK GDPR for processing analytics data is consent. No analytics cookie is set unless you give it. Our basis for storing your cookie preference is legitimate interest — it is strictly necessary to provide the site as you configured it.

4. External links and embeds

Some pages link to third-party financial services (accounting software, business banking, investment platforms). When you click an outbound link, you leave Paycheckly and become subject to that third party's own privacy policy. We do not share any of your data with them.

5. Hosting

Paycheckly is hosted on Netlify (US/EU edge network). Netlify collects standard access logs (IP address, user agent, requested URL, timestamp) as part of normal hosting operations. Logs are kept briefly for security and abuse prevention, and are not linked to any identity.

6. Your rights

Because we don't store anything personally identifying, there is nothing to access, correct, or erase. If that changes (for example, if we ever add an email newsletter), this policy will be updated and you will retain full UK GDPR rights — access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection, portability — plus the right to complain to the ICO (ico.org.uk).

7. Changes to this policy

We'll update this page whenever something material changes and the "Last updated" date above will reflect the change.

8. Contact
